Wasiu Alabi, the Fuji singer better known as Pasuma, is set to release a documentary chronicling his rise to stardom.
The Fuji singer announced the documentary titled ‘The Man’ via a post on X.
The post stated that the project is not just entertainment but also an educational and inspiring account of Pasuma’s life.
It further disclosed that ‘The Man’ captures the “struggles, resilience, and triumphs” of the singer behind the spotlight.
“There is more to stardom than what meets the eye. Every star carries a story, and what the world often sees is only the final result,” the post reads.
“This is not just entertainment. It is an educational and, above all, inspiring journey into the life of Pasuma Wonder.
“THE MAN” reveals the struggles, the resilience, and the triumphs behind the spotlight.”
However, details on the release date and platform for the documentary remain undisclosed.
Pasuma grew up in the Mushin area of Lagos state.
He began writing songs in 1984 after drawing inspiration from his role model, K1 De Ultimate.
In 1993, he unveiled his debut album, Recognition, which marked the beginning of his journey in Fuji music.
Since then, Pasuma has released over 30 albums and established himself as one of the most successful artistes in the Fuji genre.
Over the years, he has earned several awards, including the City People Entertainment Award for Best Fuji Artiste.
In February 2024, Pasuma revealed that he turned fully to music after failing to make Nigeria’s squad for the 1985 FIFA/KODAK World Championship in China.
Beyond music, he has featured in Nollywood films such as ‘Iyanje’ and ‘Alenibare’.
Through his Pasuma Wonder Foundation, the singer also supports education and healthcare initiatives, further cementing his impact beyond the entertainment industry.
