The occasion was the Global Citizen Festival which united concertgoers of various backgrounds in Accra.

The Global Citizen Festival started as an initiative that required fans to take action in their various capacities to end extreme poverty.

This way, they earn free tickets to attend the festival after amassing points through the actions taken.

Such actions of public service may include signing petitions and calling on political representatives to drive change.

One version of the Global Citizen Festival took place at Black Star Square in Accra, Ghana on September 24.

Another was simultaneously held at Great Lawn, Central Park in New York on the same date.

At the concert in Ghana, Oxlade performed ‘Ku Lo Sa’, his hit single, alongside Usher.

The singer shared a video of the performance via a post on his Instastory.

As the 25-year-old showcased his talent during the performance, Usher displayed his impressive dance moves.

Oxlade is signed to Troniq Music, Epic Records in France, and Columbia Records in the UK.

He rose to prominence with the release of the song ‘Away’.

Oxlade currently has two EPs to his credit, including ‘Oxygene’ released in 2020 and ‘Eclipse’ put out in 2021.

Usher, on the other hand, is one of the bigwigs in US music.

At the age of 12, he participated in local singing competitions before catching the attention of LaFace Records.

He released his eponymous debut album in 1994 and rose to fame in the late 90s with his second ‘My Way’.
