Oriste Femi has apologised for “disappointing” his fans and acting unruly at Quilox nightclub last week Friday.
The singer had “slapped” a bouncer with a wine cup after he tried to take over a patron’s table despite not making a prior reservation for his own.
Using the ‘I’m human’ card, Oristse Femi accepted the fact that he reacted badly and said it would not happen again.
He also shared a picture of himself on an hospital bed, albeit with no explanation as to what treatment he was receiving.
Only yesterday, he shared pictures of himself and Danku, his manager, heading out to his performance at Miss Arewa pagaent, in Osun state.
Danku and Oritse Femi made the fist sign in the first and second pictures which he captioned in part, “dem be fufu” and “Showtime”.
Read his statement of apology.
“Hello my lovely fans, I know a lot of you have been waiting to hear from me directly. Let me start by saying I’m sorry for disappointing you all. I have never been involved in any altercation before now. I love peace and I would never hurt anyone knowingly.
“Things got out of hands and I reacted badly, it was a mistake, and I take the blame. I’m human and at that moment I acted unruly. I want to thank you all for your support over the years and I understand if you are angry with me, I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you to those that have reached out to me.
“There is no ‘Oritsefemi’ without you my lovely fans. This will never happen again. Lessons learnt. I will continue to give you good music that I am known for not violence. Thank you once again and God bless you all for me….much love my people.”
Oritse Femi was due to release his ‘Corporate Miscreant’ album November 1, but he didn’t.
“It has almost 20 songs. The songs are creative, meaningful and well delivered. I urge my fans to keep their fingers cross. Oritsefemi, M S N gangs and my team generally will never disappoint music buffs,” he told The Nation.
