‘Omo Ghetto: The Saga’, the gangster comedy film co-directed by Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz, is set to hit Netflix.
Akindele, on Tuesday, spoke of the project, which is the sequel to the 2010 trilogy movie of a similar name.
The actress said that the film will be put up on the streaming platform from September 10.

‘Omo Ghetto: The Saga’ had its theatrical release in December 2020 and earned positive reviews from critics.
The movie became a box office hit, surpassing ‘Fate of Alakada’ as the highest-grossing Nigerian film for that year.
As of 26 January 2021, when the film grossed ₦468 million at the box office, it similarly surpassed the record of the 2016 movie ‘The Wedding Party’ to become the highest ever grossing movie in the Nigerian film industry.
Among those cast for the project apart from Akindele herself are Nancy Isime, Eniola Badmus, Naira Marley, Chioma Akpotha, Zubby Michael, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Timini Egbuson, Deyemi Okanlawon, and Ayo Makun.
Others are Alex Ekubo, Yemi Alade, Mercy Aigbe, Slimcase, Femi Jacobs, Adebayo Salami, and Toke Makinwa.
