Wizkid, the Grammy-winning singer, has hosted an exclusive celebrity dinner in Lagos to celebrate the release of ‘Morayo’, his sixth studio album.
The event, themed “Morayo x Instagram Dinner”, took place on Saturday night and brought together some of the biggest names in the Nigerian music industry.
Among the attendees were 2baba, Olamide, Tems, Wande Coal, Ruger, and Seyi Vibez.
Videos of the event, which have now circulated online, show Wizkid visibly excited and the guests in high spirits.
The event comes days after Wizkid delivered an electrifying performance in Lagos, where he thrilled fans with his hits like ‘Kese’ (Dance), ‘Pakurumo’, and ‘Show You the Money’.
He also shared the stage with fellow stars Davido and Burna Boy.
It also coincides with the impressive achievement of ‘Morayo’, his latest album.
On December 3, the album made its debut at no. 98 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold 13,000 units in its first week.
Born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, Wizkid first rose to global prominence with ‘Superstar’, his debut album in 2011.
Over the years, he has collaborated with numerous international stars, including Drake, Beyonce, Normani, and Skepta.
In 2021, his work with Beyoncé on the hit song ‘Brown Skin Girl’ earned him a Grammy award.
