Odunlade Adekola has paid a visit to Azeez Ijaduade, the Yoruba actor who was recently shot by a police officer, at the hospital.
Ijaduade was shot by a police officer in the late hours of Saturday in Iperu, Ogun state.
The actor was rushed to the Babcock Teaching Hospital in Iperu for treatment.
Omolola Odutola, the state’s police spokesperson, while confirming the incident, said Ijaduade “is in stable condition”.
Odutola said the police officer involved in the shooting incident has been identified and will be probed.
On Sunday, Adekola paid a visit to Ijaduade at the hospital alongside other of their colleagues.
The actor took to his Instagram account to share a video with the caption, “Glory be to God Azeez is alive”.
The movie star said it was important to make the video with the actor to assure Nigerians that he “is in a very stable condition”.
“We give glory to God. Lord you are worthy to be praised. Congratulations my brother. You will not die. For this that has happened, God will take away any form of evil before you till the rest of your life. Your glory will shine more. Your star will shine better. You will not die untimely. We will no longer witness evil in the industry,” he said in a mixture of English and Yoruba.
“I just have to do this for our people to know we thank God. To be thanking God. That is why I said we must do this.”
