‘Exco,’ a highly anticipated political drama produced by Seun Oloketuyi, is set for its exclusive premiere on October 15 at the Alliance Française, Mike Adenuga Centre in Lagos.
Directed by Director Mo, ‘Exco’ promises to pull back the curtain on the high-stakes world of governance.
The film delves deep into the murky grey areas of political decision-making, exploring the complex power struggles and profound moral dilemmas that define the corridors of power.
Oloketuyi described the project as a poignant reflection of real-world politics.
“EXCO is more than just a movie; it is a mirror reflecting the delicate power play and human elements that shape our governance,” he said.
The film boasts an ensemble cast of Nollywood’s finest veterans, including Deyemi Okanlawon, Bimbo Akintola, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, Femi Branch, Patrick Doyle, Norbert Young, Scarlet Gomez, Lizzy Jay, Olarotimi Fakunle, and Kunle Coker.
The premiere is set to be a landmark occasion, mirroring the film’s political themes.
The producer revealed that an array of the nation’s most prominent political figures are expected to attend.
The distinguished guest list includes former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Olusegun Osoba, former Ogun state governor, and Ovation magazine publisher Dele Momodu.
Other expected guests include Toke Benson-Awoyinka, Lagos commissioner for tourism, arts and culture; Tokunbo Wahab, commissioner for environment and water resources; senator Babajide Omoworare; and deputy speaker Moji Ojora-Meranda.
Oloketuyi expressed excitement about the distinguished lineup of guests expected at the premiere, noting that the film is designed to inspire meaningful national dialogue.
“We are honoured to have the likes of former President Obasanjo, Governor Osoba, and other pillars of Nigerian society join us to launch a film that we believe will spark necessary conversations,” he said.
