The National Universities Commission (NUC) has accredited law and public health programmes for McPherson University (MCU) ahead of the 2023/2024 academic session.
This was announced in a statement by Noel Biodun Saliu, the commission’s director of academic planning.
“The executive secretary has considered and approved the establishment of the full-time mode of LLB Law and B.Sc. Public Health for McPherson University,” the statement reads.
With the development, the institution will admit students into its law and public health faculties when the next session begins in October.
Francis Igbasan, the vice-chancellor of the institution, and other members of management have lauded the NUC for approving the programmes.
McPherson University, located in Seriki-Sotayo, Ogun state, was founded in 2012.
The institution was established by Foursquare Gospel Church and named after Aimee Semple McPherson, the church’s founder.
The varsity prides itself as “a distinct and vision-driven, leaders-producing Institution that is highly committed to providing a world-class education to students “.
