Nonso Amadi, the R&B and soul singer, has recalled how Banky W and Adesua Etomi convinced his parents to support his music career.

In a tweet on Tuesday, the 27-year-old songwriter also thanked the couple for what they did in 2018.

Amadi said he now has the blessings of his parents to do music.

The singer said he will soon be releasing an album. He added that his mum contributed to the project.

“Just want to say thank you to @BankyW and his lovely wife @AdesuaEtomiW for coming to speak to my parents in 2018 around letting me do music,” he wrote.

“Went a long way in gaining their support, & now I’m about to drop an album with my mum involved in its creation. Love you both truly❤️🌸.”

Reacting to the tweet, Banky W wrote: “Proud of you and rooting for you bro.”

Amadi started to enjoy attention in the Nigerian alternative music scene after the release of his hit track titled ‘Tonight’ in 2016.

He has since then collaborated with notable artistes such as Maleek Berry, Simi, and Mr. Eazi.

In 2018, he received two Headies nominations which he lost after the organisers announced that they were given in error.
