Nikki Laoye, Nigerian gospel singer, has announced her engagement to Soul Snatcha, her partner, on the occasion of her 41st birthday.
The musician, whose real name is Oyenike Laoye, talked about her engagement via her social media page on Sunday.
“And as I turned 41, I said yes to the fantastic 4 & 1 Angels God sent to my life. I love you so much honeyboo and my adorable babies, You all complete me and you make my life so beautiful. Here’s to a Fantastic new life with my Fantastic 4&1,” she wrote on Facebook.
Soul Snatcha, born Adekunle Adeyoola, also announced the engagement to his fans in an Instagram post accompanied by loved-up photos of the pair.
In the lengthy post, Soul Snatcha, who is also a gospel singer, disclosed that he and Laoye have been friends for 20 years.
He also described his fiancée as a selfless person sent by God to mend his broken heart.
Snatcha recounted how Laoye was there to help take care of his four kids after his wife died in 2019.
He also narrated how much his children love and appreciate her for taking care of them like she is their mother.
“@NikkiLaoye, how is it that you turn 41 today and get The Fantastic Four and One added to you? Maybe it’s because we have been friends for about 20 years or maybe it’s because of your selflessness or the way you hopped on a plane to help with the children,” he wrote.
“God just has a funny way of doing what He does. It’s funny how you went from ‘ah that’s my sister nau’ to ‘there goes my baby’. God sent you at the right time to be a help that’s suitable. Unknown to both of us, He sent you to mend a broken heart.”
The pair’s engagement comes about three years after Laoye divorced Alex Oturu, whom she married in 2011.
