Some Nigerians have taken to Twitter to demand justice over the case of one JSS 1 student of the Deeper Life High School in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, who was allegedly starved and molested by his senior colleagues.

TheCable Lifestyle had earlier reported how Deborah Okezie, his mother, claimed her son was deprived of food and molested by students of the school after the principal moved him to their dormitory for urinating on his bed.

She had also claimed that her son told her the senior students pushed their hands and legs into his anus while also threatening to kill him if he reported to his parents or the principal, who was recently suspended over the case.

The mother had thereafter narrated how she was attacked at the office of Enobong Mbobo, the commissioner for education in the state, who had invited her and her son for questioning on the instruction of the state government.

The development has since provoked outrage and attracted calls for justice over the boy’s case on Twitter.

While some users alleged that efforts were ongoing to silence the cries of the mother of the 11-year-old schoolboy, others called on William Kumuyi, the general superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, to wade in.

“People that are working with the commissioner of education to silence the woman you’re saying stop lying! That press release was to deter people like you from digging deeper into the truth! Your church is a scam!” one wrote.

“Pastor Kumuyi should do something about this. This is really heartbreaking. Imagine what other kids are going through but can’t speak. Anything wey concern boarding school, I don cancel am!” another Twitter user added.
