Actor Yemi Solade has denied the allegation of sexual propositioning levelled against him by a woman named Dolapo Lawal.
The lady had called out the filmmaker on Instagram, saying he asked for sex in return for a movie role.
She said the incident took place some years ago when she still had the zeal to become an actor, adding that her experience changed her perception of Nollywood.
The actor waved off the allegations saying, “I need not dwell on this nuisance value gist”.
Solade told Lawal that famous actresses like Genevieve Nnaji, Funke Akindele and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde did not become celebrities by making such allegations.
This is coming barely a day after former self-confessed wannabe actress Enny Gold accused filmmaker Yomi Fabiyi of demanding for sex in return for a movie role.
Gold said she met the filmmaker nine years ago when acting was her passion.
She wrote: “I remember my encounter with him nine years ago when I was so passionate about acting. I was happy when I met him as he promised that he will feature me in a movie that very day.
“I was so excited, I quickly called my people that I won’t be coming home. That I would be on location. Only for him to tell me we won’t be sleeping in separate rooms when on location.
“He said we have to sleep together and he would have sex with me before he can feature me.
“He said it is a normal thing for actresses. I told him I couldn’t do it and he dropped me off in the middle of the road in Ketu.
“I cried till I got home.”
The filmmaker denied the allegations in a series of posts via his Instagram page saying, “these ones have been watching CNN lately”.
Industries worldwide are being rocked by sex allegation scandals. Women have come forth to call out influential people in sports, entertainment and politics over sex abuse.
