The spotlight has beamed on a Nigerian couple after photos of the pair working on their farm on Valentine’s Day surfaced online and went viral.

Nigerians had joined other countries across the globe on Sunday to mark this year’s edition of Valentine’s Day which is a period for celebrating loved ones.

While it is a routine that couples crave for different kinds of gifts from each other or even go on dinner dates, a woman simply identified as Mrs Zanga stunned many social media users when she shared a photo and video of herself and her husband tending to their farm on the occasion.

The mother of two had accompanied the visuals with a terse post which read: “How our Valentine’s day is going.”

Her post instantly went viral shortly after it was shared, with many users commending the couple for being honest with their condition.

As of the time of filing this report, the post has garnered about 60,000 likes and nearly 7,500 retweets.

The post has also continued to fetch the lovebirds goodwill messages from social media users.

“This is inspiring cos while a lot of people who aren’t financially buoyant are going broke trying to impress their lovers & loved ones, u guys are planning ahead by cultivating ur farmland. I pray ur next Valentine’s Day celebration will be flawless. God bless u guys,” a Twitter user wrote.
