Following the report of Africans being sold into slavery in Libya, Nigerian celebrities have taken to various social media platforms to condemn the act.

Ali Baba, Mo Abudu, Wizkid, Davido, Eldee, Reekado Banks, Dbanj, Cynthia Morgan are some of those who have criticised the trend.

Here are their reactions:

As we all get riled up by the @cnnafrica reports on #slavery in #Libya I hope we also get riled up about all other forms of slavery that exists on the continent and beyond. Some folks will argue and try to defend their slavery actions and activities but if you listen to their arguments, it will be very similar to those of the Libyans who purchase those slaves. We must recognize it for what it is, redirect some of our anger towards Libya, and change our ways in general as humans. —————————————— Btw, #NigerianAmericanPodcast returns this week.
