In the past couple of days, a plethora of tweets with the hashtag #WeAreNigerianCreatives has flooded timelines across the Twittersphere.

Nigerian painters, visual artists, photographers, craftsmen, and craftswomen have used this opportunity to showcase their extraordinary talent and we can’t get enough of it.

One Nigerian has taken a greater step to call for the support of men of influence and affluence to give these creative Nigerians a wider platform to showcase their works and get the recognition they deserve.

Taiwo Obe, founder and director of the Journalism Clinic, tweeted at Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group, Tony Elumelu, CEO of Heir Holdings, and Aliko Dangote, chairman of Dangote Group, urging them to support the “young talented Nigerians”.

“A lot of good things still come out of Nigeria. Be inspired to do something with these mostly young talented Nigerians,” his tweet read in part.

Here are a number of the visually stunning works of art by creative Nigerians.
