The attack on the St. Francis Catholic Church in Ondo has sparked a flurry of reactions on Twitter.
Some gunmen attacked the church during a Sunday mass, detonating explosives before firing at the worshippers.
This claimed the lives of many worshippers including women and children.
Celebrities and public figures aired their opinions on the issue as it generated a lot of fury on social media.
Some blamed the attack on the government, arguing that it failed to protect the lives of its citizens.
Others simply condemned the loss of life.
Mr. Macaroni, the skit maker, wrote: “Our leaders are heartless! These people are playing games with the lives of Nigerians! Stop sacrificing the lives of Nigerians! Stop! Enough is Enough!
“Children lying in a pool of their own blood! All for what? To what end? This is not the Nigeria we want,” he continued.

It has gotten so bad now that everyday you wake up, one of your prayer points should be “let Nigeria not happen to me today” , because nowhere is safe anymore, not even inside churches 💔

The government is always willing to share thoughts and prayers with victims but never justice.
