Ned Nwoko, the husband of Regina Daniels, the Nollywood actress, has dismissed claims he married another wife.

In the past few days, the internet has been awash with rumours that the billionaire businessman took a new wife.

But in an Instagram post on Sunday, the lawyer said such rumour was peddled by a group of “little minded faceless individuals” trying to gain followers on social media.

Nwoko disclosed that he will report the matter to the police for appropriate action.

He also said the public should not accuse him of using the law against such people when eventually apprehended by the police.

The entrepreneur added that the public would be aware if he decides to marry another wife, adding that such would not be done secretly.

“Ned Nwoko marries another wife… This is fake news and you shouldn’t help to propagate it. If I want to marry, it will not be done in secrecy,” he wrote.

“There is a particular group of little minded faceless individuals who believe they can gain followership in the social media by using my name to create sensational news every week.

“I will keep being law abiding and reporting the miscreants to the police for appropriate actions. When such misguided individuals are arrested, don’t accuse me of using the law against them.”

Nwoko attracted public attention in January over the arrest and arraignment of Jaruma, the sex therapist, by the police in Abuja.

In a petition to the FCT police command on January 20, the politician had accused Jaruma of publishing falsehoods on her Instagram page against him and his celebrity wife.

Nwoko said Jaruma had claimed that she paid N10 million to Regina to advertise ‘Kayanmata’, her aphrodisiac product, but the actress backed out.

This had sparked conversations on the need for police involvement in what could have been just another case for the civil courts.

Nwoko got married to Regina in April 2019 and welcomed their first child together in June last year.

In 2020, the politician had opened up on his desire to have more children and his belief in polygamy.
