Ned Nwoko has refuted recent claims made by actress Regina Daniels, describing them as misrepresentative of their family’s agreed-upon practices concerning their children.
The public exchange stems from Daniels’ claims that Nwoko had filed for full custody despite the children already being in his care.
She further claimed that he dismissed her nannies and pressured them to falsely accuse her of “violence and alcohol abuse”.
The film star also accused Nwoko of deliberately exposing their kids to public scrutiny, describing the move as a calculated attempt to attract negative attention.
Reacting in a statement from his communication team, Nwoko countered that sharing moments of the children’s lives has been a consistent family tradition.
The politician noted that Daniels herself had previously posted content featuring her children and those of his other wives without raising privacy concerns.
The lawmaker denied preventing Daniels from seeing their children, stating that her prolonged absence was a matter of her own choice, not his imposition.
He framed the current arrangement as one focused on “rehabilitation,” which he described not as punishment but as “a minimum standard of care for children to have a parent who is emotionally present, mentally sound, and sober”.

The statement also accused Daniels of mobilizing online sympathy campaigns “while fully aware of the conditions already set for access to the children”.
“Children deserve a parent who is emotionally present, mentally sound and sober most of the time. This is not an unreasonable expectation; it is the minimum standard of care any parent owes their children,” the statement reads in part.
The couple’s private strife erupted into public view in October when a viral video depicted Daniels in tears, alleging domestic violence.
The lawmaker fired back, claiming his wife was struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
Daniels later admitted to using hard drugs but accused Nwoko of orchestrating her addiction as a method of control and manipulation.
The actress recently revealed that she would not consider remarrying as the institution had traumatised her.
The senator representing Delta North also declared that he does not want Regina to return home.
