The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted approval to Nacabs Polytechnic in Akwanga, Nasarawa to start four Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes, beginning from the 2023/2024 academic session.
According to NAN, Ngbede Ogoh, the NBTE director of polytechnic programmes, announced the approval in a letter sent to the institution.
The letter, with reference number TEB/PRO/PP.34/VOL.11/88 and dated August 10, stated that the approval came after the resource inspection carried out on the institution by the board from July 10 to July 13.
According to the letter, the programmes granted approval are HND Computer Science, HND Statistics, HND Accountancy and HND Business Administration and Management.
David Abuluya, the founder of the institution, while speaking with journalists on Tuesday, appreciated the NBTE for the approval.
He said he believed the institution would continue to maintain its standard in the interest of the education of children and society at large.
Abuluya, also the president of the Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA) Worldwide, assured staff and students of a continued conducive environment for teaching and learning.
