Naomi Campbell, the British actress, has denied claims that her daughter was adopted.
In an interview with British Vogue, the movie star reflected on motherhood, diversity in the fashion industry, and her career.
In May 2021, Campbell had announced the birth of her daughter.
Since then, there had been rumours on the circumstances surrounding her daughter’s birth.
Reacting to the rumours, Campbell told Vogue: “She wasn’t adopted, she’s my child.
“I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her.
“But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”
Campbell, who never met her own father, regards Azzedine Alaïa, the French-based Tunisian fashion designer whom she met at 16, as her “papa”.
She also holds high respect toward record producers Quincy Jones and Chris Blackwell as adopted father figures.
In 1993, she became engaged to Adam Clayton, U2 bassist, but they separated the following year.
In 1995, she dated Leonardo DiCaprio.
From 1998 to 2003, she was in a relationship with Flavio Briatore, Formula One racing head.
She became engaged to him before breaking off the relationship.
From 2008 until 2013, she was in a relationship with Vladislav Doronin, the Russian businessman.
She also had relationships with Robert De Niro, Hassan Jameel, Sean Combs, and Usher.
In 2019, the actress dated Liam Payne and Skepta.
