My relationship with Angel is genuine, says BBNaija’s Soma

Somadina Anyama, the former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) All Stars housemate, has confirmed his relationship with Angel Smith, his colleague.

Soma and Angel were evicted alongside Venita from the BBNaija All-Stars house on Sunday night.

In an interview with Classic FM, Soma said “what they have is real” and not a strategy as some might assume.

The reality star said when he entered Big Brother’s house, he had no intention to search for love. He added that their relationship was not planned but happened naturally.

“We intend to keep our relationship going for as long as we can because it was not just the house; it was real for us,” he said.

“It was not a strategic ploy like some people think. No, it was not something we came into the house planning like, ‘Oh, when we get in, we are going to have a ship.’ No, I personally did not plan to ship with anybody, and I doubt that she wanted to ship as well. It just happened. So it was very organic.”

When asked about their previous relationships before joining BBNaija, Angel said she never expected to develop feelings for anyone in the house.

She added that her past relationship with her ex “obviously is not going to work”.

“Going into the house, I did not expect to like anyone, so it is obviously not going to work between my ex and me,” she said.

Soma also agreed with Angel and acknowledged that the situation is the same for him.

“Definitely, I guess we are on the same page on that,” he added.
