Mr Real, the Nigerian singer, has accused Idowest, his colleague, of stealing the song ‘Legbegbe’.
The singer also accused the colleague of sabotaging his career.
In a post on Instagram, Mr Real said Idowest claimed ownership of his song ‘Legbegbe’.
He said this prevented him from profiting from its popularity.
Mr Real accused Idowest of repeating the same pattern with Slimcase, another artiste with whom he collaborated.
He said they should have been able to afford houses on the island, but Idowest’s greed prevented them from making money from the song.
Mr Real demanded an apology from the musician for the “wrong deeds” he did to him and Slimcase.
“Idowest na ungrateful bastard, idowest na heartless soul. When we did ‘Legbegbe’, Idowest was parading himself say na him be the person wey get ‘Legbegbe’, ” he said.
“I just said, ‘Okay the best thing for me to do is to shoot a video of this song so they will now know who is the original owner.
“The video was the only thing that made people realise that it was me, Mr. Real, that has the song ‘Legbegbe’.
“He did this same thing to Slimcase. You had a song with Slimcase. The day he was shooting the video of the song with Slimcase, he did not invite Slimcase.
“You have to come and apologise to me and Slimcase for what you have done to us. Make me, you and Slimcase make we no fit boast house of our own.
“We sef suppose get house for island, ‘Legbegbe’ was everywhere, but with your greed, you did not allow us to make money.”
Born Okafor Uchenna Victor, Mr Real is a rapper, singer, and songwriter.
In 2018, he combined with Obadice and Idowest for the release of ‘Legbegbe’.
