Mr Macaroni, the Nigerian actor and comedian, has dismissed claims that he did not graduate from the university.

The entertainer was reacting to a Twitter user who asked him if he graduated from Redeemer’s University after his earlier expulsion from the institution.

On Sunday, Mr Macaroni had taken to the micro-blogging platform to share a video promoting the varsity, saying he’s a proud alumnus of the institution.

Shortly after the post, a user had asked: “thought you didn’t graduate from the school? How are you an alumnus?”

In his response, the self-acclaimed activist shared his degree certificate to prove he graduated from the varsity.

Mr Macaroni, whose real name is Debo Adebayo, also disclosed that though he was expelled from the varsity in 2017, he took the institution to court to challenge the decision and eventually graduated in 2018.

The comedian alleged that claims that he didn’t graduate are being peddled by those loyal to Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s vice-president, after his recent criticism of him.

He, however, did not provide any evidence to substantiate the allegation.

“So, I was expelled in 2017, We took the school to the court that same year. We settled out of court in 2018, I graduated and got my certificate. It was the VP’s people that were pushing the Agenda that I didn’t graduate because I criticized him. Lol…” he wrote.

In August, the entertainer had tackled Osinbajo and described him as “incompetent and disappointing” to the people who thought he would inspire good governance in office.
