Esinjemiyotan Atsepoyi, the wife of Mr Jollof, the comedian, has threatened legal action against VeryDarkMan, the controversial activist, for accusing her of adultery.

The Abuja-based activist alleged that Mr Jollof’s wife, through promiscuity, helped him secure his position as the SSA on new media to Sheriff Oborevwori, governor of Delta.

The social media celebrity also claimed Esinjemiyotan had an affair with an internet fraudster at a hotel in Delta.

Prime Chambers, Esinjemiyotan’s lawyers, issued a letter denying the adultery allegations.

The letter described VeryDarkMan’s claim as an “intentional attempt to tarnish our client’s reputation”.

“Professionally, our client worked with Fidelity Bank from 2011 where she rose through the ranks before resigning and going into private enterprise in 2019 as an Event Planner,” the letter reads in part.

“As an Event Planner, she has a wide range of patronage around the Federation and Niger Delta in particular; earning over N100,000,000.00 (One Hundred Million Naira) per annum. She charges between 1 million naira to 5 million naira for events and plans same on most days of every month around each year.

“Sometime on the 15th, 16th and in the early hours of 19th September, 2024, you used your social media verified Instagram handle of “verydarkblackman” with over One Million Seven Hundred Thousand (1,700,000.00) followers to continually record and publish a video about our client wherein you said that she committed adultery against her husband with a “yahoo boy”.

Esinjemiyotan said the allegations have subjected her to “insults and degrading words” on social media.

She also demanded an immediate retraction and public apology in two national newspapers.

The letter added that if VeryDarkMan failed to comply within 24 hours, “we shall have no other option than to take appropriate legal action against you”.

“In view of that, our client’s business social media page (@eventsbybloomsandballoons) is being bombarded with several insults, degrading and unprintable words,” the letter added.

“The verbal assault and defamation of our client by you, is intentionally orchestrated to tarnish our client’s reputation, destroy the peace in her marriage and make her loose patronage in her thriving business.

“TAKE NOTE that should you fail to comply with this modest demand as stated above within the next 24 (Twenty-Four) Hours, we shall have no other option than to take appropriate legal action against you.”

The development comes at about the same time when Falz, the rapper, gave VeryDarkMan a 24-hour ultimatum to retract alleged defamatory statements against him.

VeryDarkMan had shared a purported audio conversation wherein Bobrisky, the social media celebrity, claimed that Falz and his dad Femi Falana, who is a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), contacted her.

Bobrisky claimed she spoke with Falz in prison and that the rapper and his dad “tried to get me a presidential pardon in exchange for N10,000,000″.

But in a letter from Falana & Falana Chambers, Falz, born Folarin Falana, demanded an immediate retraction and apology for the claims made in the video.

The letter described the claims as “vicious, wicked, and reckless,” adding that Falana never contacted Bobrisky.

Falz also clarified that it was the crossdresser who called him to seek financial assistance of “N3 million to pay some officials,” which he declined.
