John Okafor, the Nigerian comedian also called Mr. Ibu, has opened up on his ailing health.

For some time now, Mr. Ibu has been down with an undisclosed ailment that made him take a break from acting.

Stella Maris, his wife, took to her Instagram page to share a video of herself sitting by her husband’s sickbed.

Mr. Ibu, who was able to say a few words, stated he is fine and not in any critical conditions as widely speculated.

He also said he can now walk but can’t run just yet.

“Don’t worry, if I want to die, I’ll let you know since you’re all interested,” the comic actor teased.

Mr. Ibu’s wife, in the video, urged Nigerians to pray for her husband, who is still admitted at a hospital.

She also warned the public that the comedian’s Instagram account has been hacked and is being used to extort money from celebrities.

Stella Maris said the husband has also lost his bank account details.

She added that anyone who wishes to offer help to the ailing actor should contact her or come to the hospital.

Last year, the actor had revealed his intention to live up to 100 years.
