The ‘Skin Tight’ singer got on the wrong side of Nigerians after appearing as a guest on Reggae Recipe, a show on UK online radio, Capital Xtra.

During the sit-down, Mr Eazi told the host, Ras Kwame, that Nigerian singers were imitating the formula he used to earn his music breakthrough: the infusion of Ghanaian slangs into his music.

“Now everybody is using words like Banku, Shitor, Maami, Odoo, Sika,” Mr Eazi had said while insinuating that he was the first Nigerian artiste to make the terms popular around these parts.

According to the ‘Leg Over’ singer, he started the wave, even before the likes of Runtown used ‘Shitor’ on ‘Mad Over You’.

While his comments were earning him bashing from all corners of social media, Runtown tweeted what appeared to be a response to Mr Eazi’s claim of “starting” the trend.

“Bout to drop that new sound again and pls don’t get mad when I finish what you think you started,” he wrote.

Following Runtown’s tweet, Mr Eazi posted on Snapchat a post many believe was directed at the ‘Gallardo’ singer.

He wrote: “Ni***s always asking me the key. Till you own your own you can’t be free. Till you’re on your own you can’t be me. How you still a slave in 2017?”

Since the latest post on the subject matter, Mr Eazi’s Twitter timeline has known no peace.
