While the attention of Nigerians is fixated on his ‘relationship’ with Temi Otedola, singer Mr Eazi is set to host a culture festival at the iconic Roundhouse in London, UK.
The Roundhouse is a creative hub for musicians, artists and emerging talents.
Tagged ‘Life is Eazi’, the festival will showcase art, dance, fashion and music curated by Mr Eazi.
The festival, coming up in September, will climax in a concert by the BET-nominated singer.
“This immersive, festival-inspired one day exposé is designed to draw back the curtain on the lifestyle and culture which brought forth Afrobeats – the rapidly evolving hybrid sound created and popularized by young music fans whose heritage traverse Africa and the UK,” read a statement by Roundhouse.
“Having made the country “Detty Themsef” during his world tour, Uncle London is ready to show the capital how his sound has broken down the musical barriers for Afrobeats.
“Mr Eazi is Uncle London for a reason; the UK has been instrumental in his journey and the rise of African music. Eazi has been championed by fans, musical pioneers and artists between London, Ghana, Lagos. The latter two are the muse cities to Mr Eazi’s critically acclaimed mixtape Accra 2 Lagos which, along with an arsenal of ‘Banku Music’ classic and current favorites from Skin Tight to Leg Over, are bound to make the set list for the two-hour live set planned to crown off the night.”
Mr Eazi’s mixtape ‘Accra to Lagos’, which was released earlier this year, has enjoyed relative success in Nigeria, Ghana and the UK.
