Moses Bliss, the Nigerian gospel singer, has addressed rumours of a rift between him and Ebuka Songs, his colleague and former signee.

In December 2024, Bliss, the founder of Spotlite Nation, revealed that Ebuka departed the label after 11 months instead of three years as agreed in his contract.

Bliss said there were no issues between them, adding that Ebuka had chosen to pursue his music independently.

Rumours however began to circulate that there was ongoing rift between the two singers and that was the reason behind Ebuka’s premature departure from the label.

Addressing the claims at the WithChude Live event, Bliss described his former signee as a “great guy”, adding that the world “has not seen the best of him”.

He also said he does not care about people’s perceptions but would always “rejoice and root” for Ebuka.

“Ebuka is a great guy. I think the world has not seen the best of him yet. I feel like he still has greater years, and with good mentors, he is going to do even greater things,” he said.

“He is definitely not where he used to be and not how he met us. He is doing good for the kingdom. And he is impacting lot of lives. Seeing just that alone, my joy is full. I do not care what anybody thinks, I’m rejoicing and rooting for him.”

In March, Ebuka also spoke on the issue, saying he would always be grateful to Bliss for his role in his career and life.

He however disclosed that he left the music label because of his intention to focus on his own ministry.
