Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police spokesperson, confirmed Suleman’s arrest, adding that the Edo state police command planned to “counsel” the father instead of pressing charges.

The approach sparked outrage from some X users including Simi, who took to her page to criticise the police.

“You want to “counsel” parents that blatantly and repeatedly sexually exploit a baby??? A FOUR YEAR OLD CHILD!!! Wtf is going on?????? Omg,” she wrote.

The skit maker was said to be among six persons attacked by some armed men on May 11 in the federal capital territory.

A source familiar with the incident said Emmanuel was killed at the location of a project he was supposed to feature in.

The insider disclosed that the men who were armed with machetes initially demanded money to allow them to shoot at the location.

The content creator was said to have given the armed men N2,000. However, what transpired that led to Emmanuel’s death remains unknown.

It was gathered that some of the cast members who ran for safety suffered injuries.

ORITSEFEMI CLAIMS HIS WIFE ‘SENT 20 of HER FRIENDS TO BEAT ME UP’

The Nigerian singer spoke about the rift between him and Nabila Fash, his estranged wife, last week.

Oritsefemi claimed Fash had “21 miscarriages” but still held him responsible for their inability to have children.

He also alleged that she sent about twenty of her friends to beat him up in his house.

The couple tied the knot in 2017. In 2021, their marriage faced a crisis over allegations of infidelity.

Fash accused the singer of “constant cheating, verbal and emotional abuse”. She claimed Oritsefemi has children out of wedlock with the excuse of wanting a boy child.

She also alleged that the singer physically assaulted her twice in their relationship.

The ‘Igbeyawo’ hitmaker, however, denied the allegations.

AUTOPSY FAILED TO DETERMINE CAUSE OF MOHBAD’S DEATH

The autopsy conducted on the body of late singer Mohbad failed to ascertain the cause of his death.

Shittu said the pathologist in charge of the autopsy told the coroner that the deceased’s body had decomposed by the time the test was conducted.

“In summary, he is saying the cause of death cannot be ascertained. When you say the cause of death cannot be ascertained, it means it is suspicious, it is not clear. No particular reason,” the SAN said.

The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker was said to have bought the vehicle worth N27 million but paid only N13 million.

Portable allegedly refused to pay the remaining N14 million and whenever the car dealer requested his money, he always claimed the vehicle was having issues.

DAVIDO SPEAKS ON LAWYER BOBO AJUDUA ‘SACKING’

Last week, Davido, the Afrobeats star, reacted to the reports about him sacking Bobo Ajudua, his lawyer.

There were allegations that Ajudua was sacked for embezzling $370,000.

Reacting to the report in a post on his Instagram story, Davido revealed that he is still friends with Ajudua, adding that “in business, things evolve and change all the time.”

He also urged the public to disregard the embezzlement narrative.

DIDDY ADMITS TO ASSAULTING CASSIE IN 2016

Sean Diddy Combs last week admitted to assaulting Cassie Ventura, his former girlfriend, in 2016.

The US rapper released a video statement via his social media handles where he also apologised to Cassie.

A hotel surveillance video, dated March 5, 2016, earlier surfaced showing Diddy kicking, hitting, and dragging Cassie.

In the footage, Cassie is seen in a black sweater while calling an elevator in the now-closed Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles.

Diddy is then captured chasing the singer down the hallway in a towel.

The music mogul catches up with Cassie, strikes her, and yanks her by the hair while throwing her to the ground.

The LA district attorney’s office stated Diddy would not be charged with assault if the encounter occurred in 2016. It said this is because the year of the attack is now beyond the timeline where a crime of assault can be prosecuted.

Amid public backlash, Diddy shared a monologue where he apologised to Cassie.

He stated in the video apology that he was “truly sorry” and that his actions were “inexcusable”.
