Miss Pepeiye of ‘Papa Ajasco’ weds Peter Olayinka

Yetunde Barnabas, actress and ex-beauty queen, has tied the knot with Peter Olayinka, Nigerian footballer.

The duo took to their individual Instagram pages on Friday to share loved-up photos of themselves clad in traditional attires.

They could also be seen dancing to ‘Running To You’, a song by Chike and Simi, Nigerian singers.

In one of the posts, Yetunde appreciated the footballer for showing her “true love” while adding that such endeared him to her.

“Thank you for showing me that true love does exist and that’s why I’m yours forever,” she wrote.

On his part, Olayinka also thanked his new bride for bringing happiness into his life while reiterating his love for her.

“I may not have the right words to express to you how I feel about you and how blessed I am that you came into my life. I just want to let you know that I love you with everything I’ve got and this journey with you is forever,” he wrote.

The lovebirds were said to have met in 2019 and started dating shortly after the encounter.

Yetunde came into the spotlight for her role as Miss Pepeiye in ‘Papa Ajasco’, a popular Nigerian family television sitcom, created by Wale Adenuga in 1996.

She has continued to pull the strings since then and has featured in several movies.

Before her foray into the movie landscape, Yetunde had an impressive career as a model who won several awards and recognition including the Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja pageant in 2019.

Olayinka, on the other hand, plays for Slavia Prague, a professional football club in the Czech Republic.

He also had a brief stint with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
