Yung6ix, Nigerian rapper, and MI Abaga, his colleague in the music industry, have reignited their lingering feud.
The drama started after a recent interview wherein Abaga appeared to have taken a swipe at Yung6ix.
In the interview, the ‘Anoti’ rapper claimed he remains “the guy” in the country’s rap industry while talking about his past face-off with Vector.
He also reflected on his beef with Yung6ix, saying he was pained by his own action.
“If you don’t say I’m the guy, that’s a lie because I’m the guy, if I beef with you is gonna make you rich so you got to pay me. Even Yung6ix coming for the MC, that thing pained me, Me and Vector are cool even though we don’t chat on a daily,” he had said.
But in an Instagram video on Tuesday, the ‘Oh My Gosh’ crooner fired back at MI, accusing him of being “manipulative.”
The rapper dismissed some of the claims by Abaga in the interview, adding that he had remained silent in the past because of his love for him.
Narrating how the duo fell apart, Yung6ix said Abaga disappointed him on his first industry nite by failing to show up after they both agreed to perform together.
“MI and I are supposed to perform at my first industry nite. He told me he will come at the end but wanted all his artistes to perform. When all Chocolate City artistes performed, he switched off his phone and never came for the industry nite, we went past that,” he said.
The rapper, whose real name is Onome Onokohwomo, added that the ‘Crown of Clay’ crooner also supported artistes who were constantly dissing him.
He claimed that Abaga took a subtle dig at him on his album but he turned a blind eye due to the respect he has for him.
Yung6ix further alleged that Abaga did not support his songs, adding that he always acts as if he is politically correct about everything and feels he can outsmart people.
“What the f**k are you saying, MI? I hate it when people try to play wise and you have always done this. That’s why Vector called you a rat, you always feel that you can outsmart people and find your words to manipulate people thinking something is happening…,” he added.
“I won’t take that again, I have been quiet all this while because of the love I have for you.”
Reacting to the video on Wednesday, Abaga said he does not care about Yung6ix’s rant.
“Nobody cares, and to you Yung6ix, I don’t care,” he said in short clips shared via his Instagram stories.
