PORTABLE ARRAIGNED FOR ‘ASSAULT’

The singer was arraigned before the Ogun magistrate’s court in Ifo last Monday after being detained in police custody for days. 

Part of the charges read that Portable “willfully cause or inflict physical injury on one Inspector Hammed Moshood ‘m’ with your elbow on his nose, which caused blood to gush out from his nose and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 4 (1) of the Violence against persons & Prohibition Laws of Ogun State of Nigeria, 2017.”

He, however, pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him.

The magistrate granted him bail of N300,000, with two sureties from his immediate family.

The case was adjourned to April 26.

Falz announced he will be joining forces with Vector, the rapper, for a music project.

The singer said the project is coming on the backdrop of his newly released single titled ‘Mr Yakubu‘. 

Since its release, the song also triggered the #MrYakubuChallenge on social media.

Falz also disclosed that he will be featuring the top three entries in his upcoming project with Vector.

“This is it. You heard it here first. Ladies and gentlemen, I wish to announce to you at this very moment that myself and Vector have come together and we will officially be giving you a collaborative project,” he said. 

“Part B of this announcement is that three of the best entries on the Mr Yakubu challenge will be selected and all three people will feature on our collaborative project. Stay tuned for that.”

Falz had revealed that ‘Mr Yakubu’ song captures his truth about the just concluded elections “without fabrication”.

MERCY AIGBE CONVERTS TO ISLAM, GETS NEW NAME

Mercy Aigbe, the actress, last week announced her conversion to Islam. She has also adopted a new name for herself. 

The movie star spoke about her new faith at a Ramadan lecture and special prayer hosted by Kazeem Adeoti, her husband.

Mercy provoked criticism in January last year after she unveiled Kazeem as her husband.

Kazeem’s first wife accused her of snatching her husband.

But Kazeem defended his decision to marry a second wife, adding that Islam permits polygamy as long as he can take care of his wives and does not maltreat them.

He also said he was left with no choice but to embrace polygamy after his first wife relocated permanently to the United States.

FOLUKE DARAMOLA OPENS UP ON FIRST MARRIAGE

Foluke Daramola, the actress, opened up about how her first marriage crashed.

The film star revealed she lost her virginity through rape and since then lost interest in sex.

The actress said her first husband didn’t bother and wanted sexual intercourse every time.

Foluke said she had seen the red flags before her marriage but ignored them because she wanted to get married due to peer pressure.

In 2005, she got married to Tunde Sobowale but their marriage crashed after three years.

The actress later got married to Kayode Salako in 2013. Their union is blessed with two children.
