Kevinwords on Thursday claimed the throne as the rap god of Hennessy Artistry VS Class in an all-acapella final round, impressing even YCee in the process.
It was a lyrical feast as the young emcee battled Dee Wayne ‘bar for bar’ in the last round of the night and knocked the latter out with a clear margin.
Kevinwords emerged as the listener’s pick with the Twitter poll edging in his favour at an aggregate of 70-30% as all the judges agreed that he rocked the mic best.
He now joins the other finalists – Full Effex, Gochi and Zade.
As the final week of the nightly lyrical stand-off approaches, the last set of rappers must prove themselves worthy for the final spot.
The guest judge for this week is one of Nigeria’s best rappers, Reminisce.
After the last finalist emerges, the anticipated “Wild Cards” will be selected.
Three contestants from the past five weeks will be chosen to join the five winners, to make it a total of 8 finalists to compete for the ultimate title.
