Yul Edochie, the controversial Nollywood star, has continued his online dispute with May, his first wife, over her 2023 reflection post.
In a New Year post, May said 2023 came with “too many adversities and misfortunes.” She added that it “dealt with me in the most catastrophic ways”.
She also said the worst of the experience was that 2023 “stole my own flesh and blood” — implying the death of Kambilichukwu, her first child with Yul, in March.
May revealed that the loss had left her in the most devastating, miserable, and confused state.
In response to her post, Yul accused May of having breast enlargement surgery in the same year without his consent.
The actor also cautioned his first wife against manipulating public opinion on social media to foster resentment towards him.
In a follow-up post on Wednesday, Yul said his estranged wife “filed for divorce but refused to return the bride price”.
“You have filed for divorce. Yet you refuse to drop my name. Return the bride price I paid you, & your family refused,” he wrote.
“I have asked for the return of the bride price a couple of times, you people vehemently refused. I don’t understand why.”
The controversy in Yul’s home started in April 2022 when he announced he had married actress Judy Austin Moghalu as his second wife. He also unveiled their first son together.
Last March, Kambilichukwu passed away after experiencing a seizure while playing football in school.
