Mary Njoku, the actress, says she is witnessing a “real” election for the first time in 30 years.
The movie producer took to her Instagram page on Friday to share her enthusiasm about the presidential election.
“Who’s awake? Can’t sleep. I’m anxious about tomorrow. Are you ready?” Njoku wrote.
The filmmaker said she is experiencing a real election where Nigerians are hopeful for a better country.
“Can’t believe that in over 30 years of my life, this is the first time I am witnessing a real election where the masses are using their personal resources to campaign for a better Nigeria. Hopeful 🤞🏿🤞🏿.”

The presidential election has commenced with a total of 18 candidates contesting for Nigeria’s highest office.
There are four candidates leading the race for the presidential election.
They include Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
The film producer is the co-founder of ROK studio, a movie production firm.
She co-founded the company with Jason Njoku, her husband, in 2013.
In 2019, she oversaw the acquisition of ROK to CANAL+, in what is said to be the largest international deal to date for a Nollywood brand.
