Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder, has said the energy in Nigeria is amazing.
Zuckerberg arrived Lagos Tuesday afternoon for his first-ever visit to Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa.
The first port of call of the Facebook founder was the Co-Creation Hub, a technology incubator, in Yaba.
Zuckerberg subsequently announced his arrival through his Facebook page, where he stated that he was in the country to learn about the startup ecosystem.
He said: “I am learning about the startup ecosystem in Nigeria. The energy here is amazing and I’m excited to learn as much as I can.”
“Our first stop is the Co-creation Hub Nigeria (CcHUB) in Yaba. I got to talk to kids at a summer coding camp and entrepreneurs who come to CcHub to build and launch their apps”, Zuckerberg added.
