Lojay released the hit track, which is a single off ‘LV N ATTN’, his 5-track extended play (EP), last year.

Since the release of the EP, the less than four-minute track has enjoyed more playing time than any other songs on the project.

The song shot Lojay into the limelight. ‘Monalisa’ has continued to rise through several charts including Apple Music, Spotify, and Shazam.

The partnership with Lojay stretches the list of collaborations between Brown and Nigerian artistes.

“I never thought this would happen, Chris brown jumped on Lojay’s Monalisa remix? I’m here for it,” a user wrote.

Another user wrote: “Lojay is dropping Monalisa Remix with Chris Brown. The song might be the first Amapiano song to go global. The music scene is about to be interesting between South Africans and Nigerians. We own the sound now.”
