VeryDarkMan (VDM), the controversial activist, has released a diss track titled ‘Ole’ and aimed at Portable, the Nigerian singer.

‘Ole’ is a Yoruba word for thief.

The song, featuring fast-rising artist Monstarr Boi, was released on Audiomack in the early hours of Wednesday.

The track opens with a viral clip of Portable being accused of stealing a tricycle, setting the tone for VDM’s scathing lyrics.

Throughout the song, he repeatedly chants “Ole”, directly calling out the controversial singer. In ‘Ole’, VDM labels Portable a “thief with no grace”.

The lyrics also appeared to have been aimed towards Monday Okpebholo, the Edo state governor, over his alleged poor WAEC results, which recently circulated online.

“Portable, Habeeb/ Omo olalomi/ Akoi grace/ Kosi grace/ Maruwa Elizabeth Joyce/ N***a of stealing/ D7 E8 WAEC result/ Of a governor/ INEC,” the activist sings.

This isn’t the first clash between VeryDarkMan and Portable. In 2024, the activist criticised the singer for assaulting a man at Felabration, prompting Portable to threaten physical retaliation if they ever met.

Earlier this year, Portable also rejected VDM’s request to feature on a diss track against gospel artiste Mercy Chinwo.
