Teniola Apata, Nigerian songstress better known as Teni, has put out ‘For You’, a collaborative single featuring Davido, award-winning singer.
The song, released in the early hours of Friday, was accompanied by a music video where Teni plays a prisoner.
‘For You’ is a track from Teni’s forthcoming body of work ‘Wonderland’. The video was directed by Adetula Adebowale.
Since her incursion into the music scene, Teni has continued to pull the weight of fame with her style of music.
The talented vocalist started to gain prominence after her single ‘Fargin’ was released in September 2017. She finally had her big break after putting out hit singles such as ‘Askamaya’, ‘Case’, and ‘Uyo Meyo’ in 2018.
Her new release comes days after Davido spoke of how Teni had chased him down the Lagos traffic for a collaboration.
“Crazy night when lil sis @tenientertainer saw me in traffic chased me down to get in the studio,” Davido had said.
“We finally made a classic that same week I think. Her album ‘Wondaland’ out this month! A lot of people don’t know we grew up together in Atlanta .. I’m so proud u made that decision.”
