Niniola Apata, Nigerian Afrohouse singer, has put out ‘6th Heaven’, a five-track extended play (EP).
The body of work, which was released in the early hours of Friday, comes as a follow-up to her last project titled ‘Colours and Sounds‘.
Spanning R&B, ‘6th Heaven’ includes songs like ‘The One’, ‘Promise’, ‘Baby’ and ‘Ryde’. It has production credits going to TBD and comes as a solo EP.
Over the years, Niniola has carved a niche for herself in the music industry, portraying African aesthetics in several of her visuals.
She had caused a buzz beyond Africa after ‘Maradona’, her hit single, was requested on a radio show by Drake, Canadian rapper and record producer.
On the heels of her last studio project, her editors, while describing her music style, had said: “From Afro-house to Afro-fusion, Amapiano and R&B, Niniola can do it all.
“The Nigerian singer deftly navigates a spectrum of sounds, her distinctive vocals bending and soaring equally over house samples and Afrobeats.”
