Dashawn Robertson, an American rapper better known as Lil Loaded, has died at the age of 20.

The Dallas County Medical examiner’s office confirmed that the rapper died on Monday.

The official cause of death has not yet been made known.

Ashkan Mehryari, his attorney, said the rapper’s death was “very tragic” and he didn’t see it coming.

Mehryari said his record label believes strongly in the rapper and had invested heavily in his success.

“He had a very bright and promising music career ahead of him,” he said.

The rapper was arrested in 2020 on a murder charge in connection with the shooting of his 18-year-old friend, Khalil Walker.

He was later indicted on a lesser charge of manslaughter in February.

Lil Loaded was known for his viral track “6locc 6a6y” which received over 29 million views on YouTube and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Following the certification, the rapper had said he had the “dopest fanbase on earth” in an Instagram post.

His follow-up song, ‘Gang Unit’, was an even bigger hit with over 39 million views on YouTube.
