Lamar Odom, the former American basketball player, has opened up on his addiction to drugs during his failed marriage to Khloé Kardashian.
Odom tied the knot with the media personality in 2009. The pair, however, parted ways in 2013 and finalised their divorce in 2016.
The former NBA star spoke in a trailer for his forthcoming documentary titled ‘Lamar Odom: Sex, Drugs & Kardashians.’
In the trailer, Odom reflected on his sex and drug addictions which eventually led to the collapse of his marriage and took a toll on his life.
Speaking with TMZ’s Harvey Levin, the ex-basketball player said drugs were his “girlfriend” during his marriage to Kardashian.
Odom also disclosed that he put the reality star through some “crazy things” that the world did not know about.
“Drugs, that was my girlfriend. I had a wife … and cocaine. I mean, behind the scenes I put her through some s–t. The things that y’all think y’all know is crazy. But the stories that y’all don’t know is really crazy,” he said.
The 43-year-old added that at a point in their marriage, he informed Kardashian about his drug addiction.
“For part of my marriage, I had to tell her. You can’t hide that forever,'” he said.
Odom also admitted in the clip that Kardashian stood by him despite what she went through at the time.
The documentary is scheduled to be aired on Fox as from January 2, 2023.
