Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson of the Lagos police command, has reacted to the recent purchases of Lamborghini by some Nigerian celebrities.
Conversations about the Lamborghini have dominated the Nigerian social media space in recent days. It all began on Friday when Sophia Egbueje called out Burna Boy over the luxury car.
She claimed that Burna had promised to buy her the luxury vehicle after meeting at a club, but reneged on his pledge after they became intimate.
Egbueje alleged that Burna Boy gave excuses for not buying the car, prompting her to block him and purchase the vehicle herself.
On Saturday, the socialite shared a video of the car arriving at her house at the back of a tow truck.
Amid the ‘sex for Lamborghini’ controversy, Mercy Eke, the reality TV star, also announced her purchase of the luxury car.
“LAMBO in a LAMBO. I know you all saw this one coming, it was always a matter of when,” she said.
In a post via X on Sunday, Hundeyin expressed his desire to own a Lamborghini while questioning how the two ladies afford such luxury cars.
“I wan buy Lamborghini. Abeg where una dey see dis money?” the post reads.
In the comment section, Josephine Adeh, the FCT police spokesperson, playfully remarked that she could buy one for him.
