Adepoju Anu, a Lagos-based doctor, has come under fire on Twitter after another lady accused the health practitioner of carrying out failed cosmetic surgery on her in Abuja.

In now-viral pictures of the alleged botched surgery, the client explained that she had engaged the services of the doctor because she had no knowledge about previous allegations against her.

The lady said she is based in New York and had returned to Nigeria 10 years after she left the country.

She noted that it was after the surgery that she got wind of the cosmetic surgeon’s past records.

According to the lady, the development has left her with fat necrosis — a condition that occurs when a person experiences an injury to an area of fatty tissue.

The client added that the surgery has continued to cause her untold pain, adding that “I am dying in Abuja.”

“Dr Anu has done it again o. She has been in Abuja doing surgery and giving them infection. Dr Anu gave me infection, fat necrosis. I’m dying in Abuja o. I live abroad, I live in New York. I didn’t know about Anu until I came down to Nigeria,” she wrote.

“I haven’t been in Nigeria for 10 years. It was after the surgery that I started hearing things about her. For real, you don’t have to be harsh on me. I just started following you of recent.”

TheCable Lifestyle had reported how the doctor was arraigned in Lagos last year after a failed cosmetic surgery which allegedly resulted in the death of the client.

Her arraignment had come at about the same time when MedContour Services Ltd, her medical facility in the commercial city, was shut down.

The development had also led to her suspension by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) at the time.

Adepoju had, however, hit back at her critics and blamed the complications on the disobedience of post-surgery rules.
