Tumi Lawrence, manager of Kizz Daniel, has given an account of how he was allegedly assaulted by David ‘Davido’ Adeleke and his crew members on Thursday.
The incident was said to have taken place at Davido’s concert which took place at Eko Atlantic, Lagos.
Lawrence said he was assaulted, slapped and manhandled by the Afropop singer and members of his Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) record label.
Daniel’s manager wrote on Instagram: “Own your transgressions! I’m NOT The one you can bully.
“Lie, deny, do whatever, it doesn’t change the fact that I was assaulted by you and your gang.
“You and your gang pushed me as you were making your way to the green room. I looked at you with disgust and you acted like one small god that no one should look in the eye and you said ‘who be this one…’ (even though we have met a couple of times). People there even told you who I was.
“I turned and moved towards the green room, you and your guys dragged me back and pour(ed) your drink on my face. I tried to clean my face and the first slap came, then subsequent ones. All in your presence. If it wasn’t you, then provide who did it.”
Daniel and Davido were billed to perform their ‘One Ticket’ collaboration at the concert but the headliner performed alone as a result of the incident.
Davido has since denied the allegation, saying he never slapped anyone at the concert.
