Hart found his way to the top of 2016 list of the ‘most paid comedians’, dethroning Seinfeld, who had been unrivalled since 2006.

Hart was recorded to have made $87.5million between June 2015 and June 2016 which has also landed him on the sixth place on the Celebrity 100, Forbes’ annual list of celebrity money-makers.

His rise to the top of the list is as a result of his consistent shows in 2016; he performed over 100 shows with an average gross of over $1 million for each.

Gary Bongiovanni, editor of Pollstar said Hart “is a comedian, of course, but he is drawing crowds that you would typically only see for musician”.

“Only a few comedians are capable of playing sports arenas the way that Kevin Hart does”, Bongiovanni said.

Another bonus to Hart is his endorsement with Hyundai and featuring in movies both on the small and big screens.
