Kate Henshaw, the Nollywood actress, has lost her mother.
Emeka Rollas, the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), confirmed the news in a post on his Instagram page on Saturday.
Rollas shared his condolences to the family of the ace actress.
The AGN president also described the demise of Henshaw’s mother as a “sad day” for the AGN.
“Sad Day for Actors Guild of Nigeria. Kate Henshaw lost her mother earlier today,” he wrote.
The actress is the public relations officer of the AGN.
Henshaw delved into the movie industry over two and a half decades ago.
She gained prominence for her role in the 1993 movie ‘When the Sun Sets’.
The fitness enthusiast has established herself as a prominent name in the Nigerian movie industry, with numerous awards and recognition to her credit.
Rollas also announced the death of John Okafor, the comic actor fondly called Mr Ibu.
He quoted Don Nwuzor, the actor’s longtime manager, as confirming that he died of cardiac arrest.
“Mr Ibu suffered cardiac arrest according to his manager for 24 years Mr Don Single Nwuzor,” the post reads in part.
“I announce with deep sense of grief that Mr Ibu didnt make it. May his soul rest in peace.”
