Karibi Fubara, the Nollywood actor, has passed away after battling cancer for nearly two years.

The family member of the film star announced his demise in social media posts on Wednesday.

“My brother, Karibi Fubara, has joined the ancestral realm. I’m devastated, but not hopeless. He lived fully and with joy. Left a great body of work. Will be a powerful ancestor. I love you, #ChiefBlack. I do not own the rights to this song,” Aya Eneli wrote on Instagram.

Stella Fubara, the sister to the late actor, also took to her Instagram page to write, “he was a warrior, now he’s an angel in heaven.”

It is understood that the deceased had been undergoing cancer treatment for the past years in Dubai.

The actor had in 2020 revealed how he found out he had a large mid-stage kidney tumor/cancer.

Prior to his death, Fubara was an actor who gained popularity after starring in ‘Before 30.’

He also featured in other movies like ‘Smart Money Woman’, ‘God Calling’, ‘Qualm’s Money’, ‘Castle and Castle’, and ‘Royal Hibiscus Hotel’.
