Kanye West, a US rapper, has named Michelle Tidball, a Wyoming-based “biblical life coach”, as his running mate ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
According to TMZ, the rapper listed Tidball as his vice on the presidential ballot in Arkansas, a state in the US, on Monday.
The “biblical life coach”, who hails from Cody, is, however, yet to react to the development.
West had earlier announced her as running mate while disclosing his presidential ambition, which came as a surprise to his many.
Tidball’s biography, however, remains sketchy online after she reportedly cleared her personal website. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wyoming, where she graduated in 2003.
West’s campaign team managed to turn in the required 1,000 signatures to qualify for the November election ballot about fifteen minutes to the final deadline, according to a spokesperson for the Arkansas secretary of state.
The ‘Jesus is King’ crooner’s team, however, lost out on the ballot in nearby Kansas after failing to meet up with the stipulated signatures.
A spokesperson for the Kansas secretary of state’s office revealed they needed 5,000 signatures as of Monday afternoon – but nothing was turned in.
His campaign team has turned attention to Ohio, one of the key grounds to determine who wins the election, ahead of Wednesday’s deadline, where he needs 5,000 valid signatures.
The ‘Ye’ singer made the headlines recently for his outbursts on social media wherein he called out Kim Kardashian, his wife.
