Kanye West, the US rapper, and Julia Fox, his celebrity girlfriend, are no longer together –after about six weeks of dating.
The Yeezy fashion designer and ‘Uncut Gems’ actress met on New Year’s Eve in Miami.
The pair were later pictured together attending the Tony Award-nominated Slave Play on Broadway as several photos of them on dates were released on social media, sparking dating rumours.
Fox would later confirm that she’s in a relationship with the rapper in an interview.
But in a statement to E-news on Monday, the actress’ representative said they have ceased to be an official couple but maintained that they are still friends.
“Julia and Kanye remain good friends and collaborators, but they are no longer together,” the statement read.
Julia’s statement comes after Kanye West’s reaffirmed his desire for a reunion with Kim Kardashian, his estranged wife.
In a now-deleted Instagram post on Valentine’s Day, the rapper wrote: “I DON’T HAVE BEEF WITH KIM I LOVE MY FAMILY SO STOP THAT NARRATIVE IM NOT GIVING UP ON MY FAMILY.”
In the post which was accompanied by a recent photo of Kim and Pete Davidson, her boyfriend, the rapper added: “I BOUGHT THIS COAT FOR KIM BEFORE SNL I THOUGHT IT WAS PARTICULARLY SPECIAL I HAVE FAITH THAT WE‘LL BE BACK TOGETHER.”
The musician had separated from Kim after she filed for divorce in February 2021 — about seven years after they tied the knot.
The pair later agreed to have joint custody of their four children — North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2 — with neither of them needing spousal support.
